Chain Blade Bouncing and Charge Mechanics
How Chain Blades Work
Chain Blades are melee-ranged hybrid weapons that bounce between enemies. When you throw a chain blade, it ricochets off targets—up to six enemies per throw—and builds Charge with each bounce. This Charge powers up your melee attacks.
Building and Using Charge
1. Craft your chain blade from a tool rod, arrow head, and chain in the Tool Station
2. Throw it with Right-Click to hit multiple enemies and accumulate Charge
3. When Charge is full, your next melee swing becomes a wider sweep that hits more targets
4. Use Sneak + Right-Click to unleash a powered melee strike while holding the weapon
Tactical Advantages
Chain blades excel in group combat. The bouncing mechanic lets you damage multiple foes with a single throw, while accumulated Charge rewards aggressive play with enhanced melee sweeps. Combine this with projectile traits from your chosen materials to add effects like piercing or block shattering, making chain blades versatile for both ranged and close-quarters encounters.
