It is an addon for Tinkers' Construct that expands the mod with compatibility features and features that did not fit in the base mod. It is designed to add features in a modular way, providing mod compatibility and features to help with modpacks.
What Minecraft version is Tinkers' Complement for?
The mod is currently only released for 1.12.2. The author has plans to update it to a more recent version in the future, which will either be 1.18.2 or something later.
What does Tinkers' Complement add?
It adds features including the Melter, Heater, Alloy Tank, Manyullyn Armor, Knightslime Armor, Porcelain Casting, Bucket Cast, the Sledge Hammer, and a Chisel.
What is the Melter in Tinkers' Complement?
The Melter is a small version of the smeltery that has no ore doubling or alloys and only holds one liquid type. It can be powered using either a seared tank or a heater.
What is the Heater in Tinkers' Complement?
The Heater is a furnace-like block that can power a melter using solid fuels instead of liquids. Its temperature is 200 C instead of lava's 1000 C, making it suited for early game.
What is the Alloy Tank in Tinkers' Complement?
The Alloy Tank is a new block used to make Tinkers' Construct alloys. It is designed to be easier to automate than a smeltery and provides an option for gating alloying at the cost of extra fuel consumption.
What is the Bucket Cast in Tinkers' Complement?
The Bucket Cast is a cast created using a bucket to cast other buckets, working with the vanilla bucket or the Ceramics bucket. It can also be used to gate bucket crafting behind the melter or smeltery.
What is the Sledge Hammer in Tinkers' Complement?
If Ex Nihilo is loaded, a version of its hammer called the sledge hammer can be created using Tinkers' Construct tool parts. It can be made AOE using expanders or given other modifiers.
Does Tinkers' Complement add Porcelain Casting?
If Ceramics is loaded, porcelain versions of the casting table, casting basin, seared tanks, melter, and heater are added as a decorative alternative. The melter requires its fuel source to be the same design as it, and no faucet is provided since Ceramics already has its own.
