How to Speed Up Crops, Furnaces and Machines with Time in a Bottle
Using Stored Time
Once your Time in a Bottle holds a charge, you can spend it to accelerate a target. The mod is built around applying stored time to a block so that block behaves as if more time had passed.
Step-by-Step
1. Make sure the bottle has stored time (check its tooltip/indicator).
2. Walk up to the block you want to speed up — a crop, sapling, furnace, or a machine from another mod.
3. Use the bottle on that block (right-click, the same way you would interact with it).
4. The block advances as though time passed: crops grow, smelting finishes, processing completes.
5. Repeat until the bottle's stored time runs out, then let it recharge.
What Works Best
- Crops and saplings: instant growth stages, great for farms and tree farms.
- Furnaces and similar processing blocks: smelting and cooking jump forward.
- Mod machines: anything that progresses on a tick timer can typically be pushed ahead.
Things to Know
- Each use consumes stored time, so a full bottle gives several boosts before it empties.
- The bottle does not create time from nothing — you are spending what you banked earlier.
- If a block does not respond, it likely has no tick-based progress to advance.
Treat it as a portable fast-forward button for whatever you point it at.
