Harvest Wood from Fallen Trees
Collect Logs from the Ground
After a tree falls and settles, the logs remain on the ground as physical objects ready to harvest.
1. Approach the fallen tree trunk
2. Hold an axe in your main hand
3. Strike each log block with your axe two to three times
4. The wood will drop into your inventory
Gather Secondary Drops
When the canopy hits the ground, crushed leaves drop sticks along with saplings and mangrove propagules matching the tree type. Surviving leaves that land with the trunk will slowly decay using standard Minecraft leaf decay rules, so you can collect them naturally over time.
Avoid Accidental Single-Block Harvesting
If you only want to break one wood block without felling the entire tree, hold Shift (Sneak) while mining. This triggers normal vanilla block-breaking mechanics and prevents the tree physics from activating.
