Timber Gravity Pulse Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I make trees fall when I chop them?
Hold an axe in your main hand and break a tree trunk block. The entire tree will tilt and fall away from your position as a single connected structure. Make sure you're standing close enough to the trunk for the mod to recognize it as a valid tree.
Why isn't my tree falling when I break the trunk?
The mod only triggers tree felling on the first trunk block you break—if you're sneaking (holding Shift), it will break a single block instead. Also check that the tree is recognized as a valid structure by using `/treefelling inspect` to see if it meets the mod's detection requirements.
Can I control which direction a tree falls?
Yes. Position yourself so your back faces the open space where you want the tree to land, then chop the trunk. The tree will always fall away from your position, giving you directional control.
What do I do after a tree falls to the ground?
Walk up to the fallen logs lying horizontally and hit them with an axe two to three times to harvest the wood into your inventory. The logs remain on the ground until you collect them.
How do I harvest just one wood block without felling the whole tree?
Hold Shift (sneak) while mining the trunk or any wood block. This triggers vanilla block-breaking mechanics and prevents the tree from falling.
Will this mod destroy my wooden buildings?
No. The mod ignores horizontal wood structures and wall builds to prevent accidental destruction of player bases. Only vertical tree structures with proper canopy detection will trigger tree felling.
What happens to leaves when a tree falls?
Crushed leaves on impact drop sticks and matching vanilla saplings or mangrove propagules. Surviving canopy leaves that land with the trunk slowly disappear using standard Minecraft leaf decay rules.
Does this mod work with modded trees and logs?
Yes. The mod recognizes both vanilla wood and any modded logs registered under standard Minecraft block tags, so it works with most tree mods automatically.
What happens to falling trees if the server restarts?
The mod saves falling tree positions during server restarts, so structures never vanish mid-fall. They will continue their physics simulation when the server comes back online.
How do I check if a tree will fall correctly before chopping it?
Use `/treefelling inspect` while looking at a tree to see its block mass, height, and predicted drop path. You can also use `/treefelling preview` to display a visual guide for where the tree will land.
