How to Keep TierTagger's Tier Data Up to Date

TierTagger automatically updates its tier data, which means you normally do not have to do anything to see fresh tiers. Still, there are times when a tag looks stale, and knowing how the update works helps you fix it.

Letting Auto-Update Do Its Job

The mod fetches tier information on its own, so after a tierlist update your tags should refresh without manual input. Keep the mod enabled and give it a moment after launching the game, since the fetch happens in the background. If you just changed a config option like the gamemode or tierlist source, the tag may need a refresh before it reflects the new setting.

Forcing a Refresh

If a player's tier changed on the site but your tag still shows the old one, restart the game or rejoin the server to trigger a new fetch. Check that your internet connection is working, because the mod needs to reach the tierlist to pull current data. A blocked connection or offline session will leave you with whatever was cached.

If a brand-new player has no tag at all, that is expected until the tierlist itself lists them. Once they are ranked, the next auto-update will pick them up.
