Tier Tagger Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I see a player's rank above their head?
Open the settings screen with N, choose your preferred tier tracking website, then enable Live Nametags. Player ranks will now display directly on their nametags in-game.
What do I do if a player's tier isn't showing up?
The mod automatically searches backup databases if the main source has no data for that player. If it's still missing, try using the search menu (accessible from settings) to manually look up their username and verify they have a recorded rank on any tracking website.
Can I change which key opens the settings menu?
Yes—go to your normal game controls menu and rebind the key listed as the Tier Tagger settings hotkey (default is N). You can also rebind the Quick Lookup (R) and Last Opponent (C) keys there.
How do I check someone's stats right after I fight them?
Press C immediately after hitting an opponent and their tier information will pop up on screen. This only works for the most recent player you damaged.
Can I see ranks in the tab list?
Yes—hold down your player menu button (Tab by default) and player ranks will display in the tab list alongside their names.
What's the difference between text icons and picture icons?
Text icons use classic symbols to represent tiers, while picture icons display custom graphics. You can toggle between them in the settings screen and see a live preview of how your own nametag looks with each style.
Can I put the rank before the player's name instead of after?
Yes—in the settings screen, there's an option to position the rank either before or after the player's name. Use the live preview to see which layout you prefer.
What happens if I'm looking at a player from a different region?
The mod pulls data from multiple tier tracking websites and will search across different regional databases automatically. The search menu also shows a player's region so you know where their rank comes from.
Does this mod work on servers with other mods installed?
Tier Tagger is a client-side mod that only reads data from tier websites, so it should work alongside most other mods. If you experience conflicts, check that no other mod is also modifying player nametags or tab list displays.
How do I look up a player's rank if they're not near me?
Open the search menu from the settings screen (press N), type in any username, and you'll see their region, rank, and peak scores without needing them in your game world.
