Allow Specific Players to Access Restricted Dimensions
Using Condition Rules
You can grant dimension access to individual players or groups without opening the dimension to everyone. This is useful for servers where only certain players should reach the Nether or End.
Setting Up Player-Based Conditions
1. Open the settings menu with /function disable_dimensions:config
2. Navigate to the dimension you want to conditionally unlock (Nether, End, or custom)
3. Look for the Add Condition or Rules option
4. Select a condition type:
- Team name: Restrict access to players on a specific team
- Gamemode: Allow only Creative or Adventure mode players through
- Inventory item: Require players to carry a specific item (like a key item from another mod)
- Score: Check a scoreboard objective to gate access
5. Configure the condition parameters and confirm
6. Close the menu—changes apply instantly
Testing Your Setup
Have a test player attempt the portal. They should either pass through or be sent back depending on whether they meet your conditions. Adjust rules as needed without restarting.
