How to Switch Camera Bias Left, Right, and Center
Short Press vs Long Hold
In third-person view, CapsLock controls camera bias — which side of your character the camera favors. A short press smoothly switches the bias between left and right. A long hold smoothly slides the bias back to the center. The transition is animated, so you get a gentle glide rather than a snap.
Using Left and Right Bias
Left or right bias is handy when you want to see past your character's body on one side — for example, peeking around a corner or watching a flank while mining. Tap CapsLock to flip to the other side if the current bias blocks what you want to see.
Returning to Center
When you want a balanced, symmetrical view again, hold CapsLock until the camera settles in the middle. This is the cleanest framing for general play, screenshots, or when the side bias makes aiming awkward.
Combining with Offset
Bias and the Z-based offset work together. You can set a left bias, then hold Z to fine-tune exactly where your character sits. If things get confusing, hold CapsLock to re-center, then reapply offset.
Quick Recap
- Short CapsLock = swap left/right bias.
- Hold CapsLock = glide to center.
- Pair with Z for precise framing.
