Thin Client Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the Thin Client menu?
Press Right Shift on your keyboard to open the main menu. If you want to move HUD widgets around your screen, open your game chat first to unlock them, then you can drag them to new positions.
What's the difference between auto totem and hover totem?
Auto totem automatically swaps to and uses a totem of undying when you take lethal damage, while hover totem keeps you from falling to your death by slowing your descent. Both help you survive, but they protect you from different types of damage.
How does base finding actually work?
The mod tracks suspicious chunks by monitoring block entity changes, unusual light patterns, and other signs of player activity that indicate a hidden base nearby. You can then use the chunk finder to narrow down the exact location.
Can I use Thin Client on servers that don't allow utility mods?
No—using this mod on servers that ban it will get you caught and potentially banned. Always check your server's rules before installing any utility client.
Does the mod work on vanilla servers or only anarchy servers?
The mod is designed for anarchy and economy servers where these tools are allowed. It won't work on vanilla survival servers that prohibit utility clients.
How do I set up auction house sniping on DonutSMP?
Open the Economy Tools category and configure the auction sniper to target cheap items you want to buy. The mod will automatically purchase them when they appear at your set price, then you can resell them for profit.
Can I have multiple HUD windows open at the same time?
Yes—the modular interface lets you open each category in its own draggable window so you can monitor multiple tools at once. This is useful during PvP when you want to watch your combat status and base radar simultaneously.
What does the region map show me?
The region map displays your current location on the server and helps you track which areas you've explored. It's especially useful on large servers to avoid getting lost and to mark important locations.
How do I find the search box to locate a specific tool?
The search box is in the main menu—type the name of the tool or feature you're looking for and it will filter the available options for you.
Can I customize my crosshair and field of view?
Yes, the Visuals & Render category lets you change your crosshair style, adjust your field of view, and modify block outlines to match your preferences. These changes are purely visual and don't affect gameplay mechanics.
