Adjust Continentalness and Test Seeds to Find Your Ideal World

Experimenting with World Settings

The continentalness slider dramatically changes your world's landmass distribution. Use the preview to test different values before committing to a world.

1. Open the world creation screen and access the preview button in the More tab

2. Locate the continentalness setting slider

3. Adjust it left (negative) for archipelago-style worlds with many islands

4. Adjust it right (positive) for large continents with fewer oceans

5. Click Apply to regenerate the map preview with your new settings

6. Use the one-click seed copy button to save seeds you like

Testing Multiple Seeds

You can manually enter different seeds into your world creation settings and preview each one without loading the world. This lets you compare multiple seeds side-by-side using the same continentalness and other generation parameters. Once you find a seed and settings combination you love, click Save to lock those settings into your world creation screen, then generate the actual world.
