Terrarium Expanded works directly with three popular biome mods: Biomes O' Plenty, Regions Unexplored, and Nature's Spirit. These mods replace standard Minecraft biomes with custom variants while preserving Terrarium's real-world terrain generation.

Installation and Setup

Install your chosen biome mod alongside Terrarium Expanded. The mod automatically detects compatible biome mods and applies their custom biomes to real-world ecoregion locations. No additional configuration is required—biome placement follows global ecoregion data, so tropical regions receive jungle variants, temperate zones get forest types, and deserts spawn appropriate desert biomes.

Results

With biome mods enabled, your Earth-based world gains visual variety and unique block palettes. A real-world rainforest might feature custom dense foliage and rare wood types. Mountain ranges display varied stone and vegetation based on the biome mod's palette.
