Finding Andesite, Diorite, and Granite Blobs

Locating Stone Variant Blobs

With Terralith ReStoned installed, andesite, diorite, and granite generate as blob formations throughout your world, similar to vanilla Minecraft. These stone variants appear at various elevations and biomes.

Search Strategy

Explore caves, cliffs, and underground caverns—blobs are most visible in exposed stone layers. Strip mining at different heights will reveal these formations. They're more common than you might expect, so systematic exploration of underground areas will yield results quickly.

Unlike Terralith's default generation, these blobs follow vanilla distribution patterns, making them predictable. Focus on areas with exposed stone faces, such as:

  • Cave systems
  • Cliff faces
  • Ravines
  • Underground quarries you've created

Harvesting

Use a pickaxe to mine these blocks. Any pickaxe tier works, though stone or better is recommended for efficiency. The blocks drop as themselves, so you can collect them for building or crafting purposes.

These stone variants are useful for decorative building, furnace fuel when smelted, and crafting smooth variants for construction projects.
