Terralith ReStoned Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need the original Terralith mod for this to work?
Yes, Terralith ReStoned is an addon that requires the base Terralith mod to be installed. Without Terralith, this mod will not function.
How do I find andesite, diorite, and granite blobs?
These stone variants generate as blob-shaped formations underground, similar to vanilla Minecraft. Mine at various depths and look for clustered deposits of these stones mixed into the surrounding stone.
What's the difference between how Terralith ReStoned and regular Terralith generate these stones?
Terralith ReStoned restores blob-shaped generation for andesite, diorite, and granite, matching vanilla Minecraft behavior. Regular Terralith generates these stones differently, often in larger or more scattered patterns.
Can I use these stone variants for building?
Yes, andesite, diorite, and granite are excellent building blocks with distinct textures and colors. You can mine them with a stone pickaxe or better and use them in construction just like any other stone block.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
Terralith ReStoned should have minimal performance impact since it only modifies stone blob generation. If you experience lag, check that your Terralith configuration isn't set to extremely high generation values.
Do these stone blobs spawn in existing chunks?
No, stone blob generation only occurs in newly generated chunks. Previously explored areas will not retroactively generate these formations unless you use chunk regeneration tools.
Can I disable this mod's features for specific biomes?
Check your mod's configuration file for generation settings, though Terralith ReStoned typically applies blob generation globally across all Terralith biomes.
Does this work with other stone-related mods?
Compatibility depends on how other mods handle stone generation. Test with mods one at a time to identify conflicts, and check mod documentation for known incompatibilities.
What's the best pickaxe to mine these stones efficiently?
A stone pickaxe or better will mine andesite, diorite, and granite. Iron or diamond pickaxes are faster, but stone pickaxes are sufficient if you're just starting out.
Why aren't the stone blobs appearing in my world?
Make sure both Terralith and Terralith ReStoned are installed and enabled, and that you're exploring newly generated chunks rather than previously explored areas.
