Generate Terrain and Start Exploring

Launch and Download Assets

When you first run Terrain Diffusion, the mod downloads required AI model assets automatically. This is a one-time process.

1. Start Minecraft and create a new world

2. Select Terrain Diffusion as your world type

3. Customize your World Scale setting if desired

4. Create the world—the mod will download and process terrain generation

Begin Exploration

Once in-game, you'll spawn in a landscape generated by AI algorithms. Terrain will feel more natural than standard Minecraft generation, with realistic mountain ranges, deep valleys, and climate-appropriate biomes.

Use the Explorer Command

Run /td-explore to open the web map and plan your next moves. The combination of in-game exploration and web-based scouting lets you find the best locations for your base, resources, and adventures.
