Teletransportation Accept Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I send a teleport request to someone?
Use /trigger TPA to open the player selection menu, then click on the name of the player you want to teleport to. They will receive a notification with options to accept or deny your request.
What do I do when someone sends me a teleport request?
You'll see a chat message with two clickable options: one to accept the request and one to deny it. Click accept to let them teleport to you, or click deny to reject the request.
Can I use this datapack in singleplayer?
Yes, the datapack works in both singleplayer and multiplayer. In singleplayer, you can still use the /trigger TPA command, though teleporting to yourself has limited practical use.
Do I need OP or admin permissions to use teleport requests?
No, this is the main advantage of the datapack—any player can send and receive teleport requests without needing OP status or server plugins.
What happens if the player I'm trying to teleport to goes offline?
The /trigger TPA menu only shows online players, so you won't be able to select someone who has disconnected. If they disconnect after accepting your request but before you arrive, the teleport may fail.
How do I fix teleport requests that aren't working?
Run /function tpa:manual_reset to reset the datapack and resolve most issues. If problems persist, verify the datapack is enabled with /datapack list and check that scoreboard objectives haven't been deleted.
Can I cancel a teleport request I just sent?
Once sent, you cannot cancel a request directly. The player must deny it, or you can wait for it to expire if your server has a timeout setting configured.
Does this datapack work on servers with other datapacks?
Yes, the datapack is designed to work alongside other datapacks. However, if another datapack modifies teleportation or scoreboard mechanics, conflicts may occur—test compatibility before deploying on a live server.
What if I don't see the player list when I use /trigger TPA?
Make sure you have trigger permissions enabled (they are by default). If the menu still doesn't appear, run /function tpa:manual_reset and try again.
Can I set a home location instead of teleporting to players?
This datapack is specifically for player-to-player teleportation requests. For home/spawn functionality, you'll need a separate datapack or mod designed for that feature.
