Set Up Your First Telepost

Finding a Suitable Location

Before creating a post, you need an empty area far enough from existing posts. Use /nearestpost to check how close the nearest post is. The minimum distance between posts is controlled by the post-gap setting (default 2000 blocks), so travel outward until you're safely beyond this range.

Creating and Activating Your Post

Once you've found a suitable spot, use /post create <PostName> <x> <z> to establish your post at those coordinates. Replace <PostName> with something memorable like "Base" or "Farm."

After creation, walk into the post area (the post-diameter determines how wide it is—default 31 blocks). You'll know you're inside when the post is active around you.

Making It Your Home

Stand inside your new post and type /sethome to mark it as your home location. Now you can return here anytime by typing /home from any other post on the server. This is especially useful after long journeys or dangerous expeditions.
