Telepost Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I create my first telepost?
Find an empty area away from other posts, then use `/post create ` with your desired coordinates. Walk inside the post borders and use `/sethome` to set it as your home base.
Why can't I build a post near my friend's location?
Posts must be separated by a minimum distance set by the `post-gap` config value. You can reduce this distance for allies by using `/post ally `, which adjusts the spacing rules based on the `telepost.leverage` setting.
What's the difference between /visit and /forcevisit?
`/visit` requires you to stand inside a post to teleport, while `/forcevisit` is an admin-only command that bypasses this requirement. Regular players can only use `/visit` to travel between posts.
Can I teleport to a post I don't own?
Yes, you can use `/visit ` to travel to any post on the server as long as you're standing inside a post yourself. The post owner cannot prevent you from visiting their posts.
How do I remove an enemy status from another player?
Use `/post forgive ` to remove both ally and enemy designations. This will reset the distance rules back to default spacing for that player's posts.
What happens if I delete a post?
Use `/post delete ` to permanently remove a post and free up one of your post slots. Any players with that post as their home will need to set a new home location.
How many posts can I own at once?
The maximum is controlled by the `telepost.posts` config setting, which your server admin can adjust. Check with your server owner if you've hit the limit.
Can I see all posts on the server?
Use `/post list` to open a menu showing all available posts and their locations. You can also use `/nearestpost` to quickly find the closest post to your current position.
What does the post-diameter setting do?
The `post-diameter` config value sets how wide the post area is in blocks—you must stand within this area to use teleport commands. A larger diameter makes it easier to stand inside the post.
Can I transfer ownership of my post to another player?
Yes, use `/post transfer ` to give full ownership to someone else. They will then control that post and can rename, delete, or modify it.
