Troubleshoot Hammer Mining Not Working

Verify Your Hammer is Equipped Correctly

Make sure your hammer is in your main hand, not your off-hand. Off-hand items don't trigger the area-mining effect. Open your inventory and drag the hammer to your main hand slot, then try swinging again.

Check Sneak Bypass Settings

If you're crouching and still breaking multiple blocks, sneak bypass might be disabled. Run /function datapack:juix_datapacks/toggle_sneak_bypass to enable it. When enabled, crouching pauses area breaking and lets you mine single blocks.

Confirm You're in Survival Mode

Area mining only works in Survival mode. If you're in Creative mode, the hammer won't function as intended. Switch to Survival and try again.

Verify the Data Pack is Active

Use /trigger show_recipes_in_chat to test if the data pack is responding. If nothing appears in chat, the data pack may not be loaded. Reload your world or check that the data pack is enabled in your world settings.
