Customize Your Hammer's Mining Area Size

Access the Mining Power Settings

The data pack lets you adjust how wide and deep your hammer digs. Run the command /function datapack:hammers_datapack/change_mining_power to open the configuration menu.

Choose Your Dig Pattern

You can select from preset mining sizes. The smallest is a standard 3×3 area (one block deep). Larger options expand to 5×5 or even deeper patterns, letting you carve out tunnels and quarries much faster.

Pick a size that matches your playstyle: smaller patterns give you more control and use less durability per swing, while larger patterns clear massive areas but consume durability faster. You can change this setting anytime—there's no penalty for adjusting it.

Test Your New Settings

After selecting a size, go back to your mining area and swing your hammer once. Watch the block-breaking pattern to confirm it matches what you wanted. If you need a different size, simply run the command again and pick a new option.
