What the Target Dummy Does

The Target Dummy is a placeable entity added by this mod. Its purpose is simple: it acts as a practice target for testing weapons and combat mechanics. When you attack it, the dummy displays the damage numbers dealt by your hit, letting you see exactly how much damage a weapon, enchantment, or ability produces.

Using It

Place the Target Dummy, then strike it with whatever you want to test. The damage readout appears as you hit, so you can compare different weapons or setups side by side without needing live mobs. Because it is a dummy, it does not fight back, which makes it safe for repeated testing.

Why It Is Useful

Damage numbers are normally hidden in Minecraft, so the dummy gives you direct feedback for comparing gear and verifying how combat changes behave. It is a testing tool rather than a combat item, so treat it as part of a training or testing area.
