Reduce Lag During PvP Fights by Hiding Enemy Weapons
Why Hide Enemy Weapons
When multiple players fire guns simultaneously on a server, rendering all their weapons, attachments, and bullet effects can cause significant frame drops. Disabling these visuals on your client lets you stay in the fight without performance loss.
Steps to Hide Enemy Gear
1. Close Minecraft completely
2. Navigate to your .minecraft/config folder
3. Open tacz_optimization-client.toml in a text editor (Notepad, VS Code, etc.)
4. Find the settings that control other players' rendered items—look for options like render_other_players_guns or similar
5. Change the value from true to false
6. Save the file
7. Launch Minecraft and join your server
What You'll See
Other players will still be present and can still shoot, but their weapons and bullet casings won't render on your screen. You'll see the effects of their shots (damage, knockback) but not the visual clutter. Your own weapons and bullets remain visible so you can still aim and fight normally.
