Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware

Identify Performance Bottlenecks

If you're playing on a weaker computer or laptop, the TaCZ mod's visual effects can compound frame rate issues. Systematically disabling render options helps you find the right balance between visuals and performance.

Steps to Maximize Performance

1. Close Minecraft

2. Open tacz_optimization-client.toml from your config folder

3. Start by disabling the most demanding features: other players' weapons, bullet tracers, and shell casings

4. Then disable less critical HUD elements like kill feeds and heat bars

5. Save and test your frame rate in-game

6. If performance is still poor, disable additional effects one at a time

7. Keep your own ammo counter and aiming reticle enabled for core gameplay

Finding Your Sweet Spot

There's no single "correct" configuration—it depends on your hardware and playstyle. Some players can handle all effects enabled; others need most disabled. Start aggressive with disabling features, then re-enable only what you truly miss. This approach ensures you get the best possible frame rate while keeping the game enjoyable.
