Set Up a Realistic Shooting Range with Physics Feedback
Creating an Immersive Firing Range
The mod's realistic casing and magazine physics make shooting ranges feel alive. Set up a dedicated area to practice and observe weapon behavior.
Range Setup Steps
1. Choose flat terrain with solid ground so casings and magazines settle predictably instead of rolling downhill.
2. Place targets at various distances. Fire at them and watch where casings land relative to your position.
3. Observe ejection patterns from different weapon types. Notice how bolt-action rifles hold casings until you cycle the action, while semi-automatic weapons spray brass immediately.
4. Test extended magazines by equipping them and comparing reload frequency and magazine drop behavior.
5. Use different gunpacks if installed. Each pack's weapons eject casings with slightly different trajectories and speeds.
Reading the Range
After a shooting session, the scattered casings and magazines tell a story of your fire pattern. Casings cluster where you stood; magazines pile near your reload positions. This visual feedback makes gunplay more tactile and rewarding.
Cleanup
Walk through and collect all casings and magazines. This reinforces the realism and keeps your range ready for the next session.
