Understand Bullet Hit Detection and Armor Coverage
How Hit Detection Works
The mod traces the exact path of every bullet fired at you. When a bullet travels toward your character, the game calculates precisely which body part it would hit—your helmet, chest, legs, or boots.
Armor Coverage and Protection
Each armor piece protects only its corresponding body part. If you wear a helmet but no chestplate, bullets hitting your chest will deal full damage. Conversely, bullets striking your helmeted head will be evaluated against your helmet's piercing resistance.
Deflection vs. Damage Reduction
If your armor's piercing resistance is stronger than the bullet's piercing power, the bullet deflects completely and you take no damage. If a bullet is too strong, your armor absorbs some damage instead—reducing the impact but not stopping it entirely.
Unprotected Areas
Any body part without armor is completely vulnerable. Gaps in your gear are real weaknesses in combat, so equip all four armor pieces for full protection.
