Use Armor to Protect Specific Body Parts
How Armor Reduces Localized Damage
Armor protection is calculated per body part. Wearing a helmet protects your head, a chestplate protects your torso, leggings protect your legs, and boots protect your feet. Each piece reduces incoming damage to that specific location based on the armor's defense value.
Armor Coverage Strategy
Full armor sets provide comprehensive protection, but you can also mix and match. Prioritize armor for body parts you expect to be exposed in combat. For example, if you're fighting from behind cover, focus on protecting your head and chest.
Armor Durability and Damage
As armor absorbs damage, it degrades. Damaged armor provides less protection to its body part. Monitor your armor's condition and repair or replace pieces before they break completely, or you'll lose that location's defense.
Testing Your Setup
Experiment with different armor combinations to find what works for your playstyle. Track which body parts take the most damage in your typical encounters, then gear accordingly.
