TACZ First Aid Compat Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need both TACZ and First Aid installed for this mod to work?
Yes, this mod is a compatibility layer that requires both Timeless and Classics Zero (TACZ) and First Aid to be installed. It won't function with just one of them.
Why am I taking damage to my leg when I got shot in the arm?
When a limb takes enough damage to be destroyed, excess damage transfers to your torso first, then distributes to other body parts—this is the damage transfer system working as intended. Check your health menu to see which body parts are actually injured.
How do I heal a specific body part?
Open your health menu and select the injured body part you want to treat, then choose a medical item from your inventory to apply to that location. Different medical supplies may be more effective for different injury types.
Does armor protect individual body parts from bullets?
Yes, armor protection is calculated per body part—your helmet protects your head, chestplate protects your chest, and leggings protect your legs. Armor durability decreases when it blocks damage to that specific area.
What happens when I crawl or go prone—does it change where bullets hit?
The mod tracks your body position in real-time, so your hitboxes shift when you crawl or lie flat. This means bullets that would hit your torso while standing might hit your legs while prone.
Do explosions damage all body parts equally?
Explosions calculate damage based on proximity to each body part, and any excess damage transfers directly to your torso rather than spreading across limbs like bullet damage does.
Can I lose a limb permanently or does it heal?
Body parts can become severely damaged or destroyed during combat, but they heal through medical treatment using First Aid supplies—there's no permanent loss mechanic.
Why is my performance dropping when I get shot?
The mod calculates precise hitbox detection and damage distribution for every bullet, which adds processing overhead; this is normal, but ensure your First Aid and TACZ mods are up to date for optimization.
Does this mod work with other gun mods besides TACZ?
No, this mod is specifically designed to connect TACZ guns with the First Aid system and won't apply its hitbox mechanics to other weapon mods.
What's the difference between bullet damage transfer and explosion damage transfer?
Bullets lose energy when transferring from a destroyed limb to your torso, but explosions push all excess damage directly to your main body without energy loss.
