Display Ping Information Clearly

Choose Your Ping Display Style

Tab Tweaks offers flexible ping visualization options:

  • Remove Ping: Hides all ping data if you don't need it
  • Show Numerical Ping: Displays exact millisecond values (e.g., "45 ms") instead of visual bars or icons
  • Hide Fake Ping: Removes ping indicators for NPCs and bot players, keeping only real player latency visible

Optimize Ping Readability

Once you've enabled numerical ping display, use Scale Numerical Ping to adjust text size. Larger values make ping numbers easier to read at a glance, while smaller values save screen space.

For color-coded ping awareness, configure the ping color ranges in your settings:

  • Low ping (0–75 ms): Green
  • Moderate ping (75–200 ms): Yellow/Orange
  • High ping (200+ ms): Red

This combination—numerical values plus color coding—gives you instant feedback on connection quality for every player. Particularly useful on multiplayer servers where you need to identify laggy players quickly or diagnose your own connection issues.
