Optimize Performance on Low-End Hardware

Reduce Shader Complexity

TAA Project Shaders is designed for lightweight performance, but you can optimize further. In your shader settings, look for options to disable or reduce:

  • Advanced lighting effects
  • Shadow quality or distance
  • Ambient occlusion if present
  • Reflections or water effects

Lower Resolution and Scaling

If frame rate is still low, reduce your render distance in Minecraft's Video Settings. TAA works best at consistent frame rates, so maintaining 60+ FPS is more important than maximum draw distance. Consider enabling Fast Graphics mode and lowering particle effects.

Monitor and Adjust

Use F3 debug screen to watch your frame rate while exploring. If it dips below your target, disable one shader feature at a time and test again. The TAA smoothing effect remains visible even with minimal additional features enabled, so you won't lose the visual benefit by optimizing aggressively.

Start with the lowest shader settings, then gradually enable features until performance becomes unacceptable.
