Fix Ghosting or Blurry Artifacts

Identify the Problem

Ghosting appears as trailing or duplicated images behind moving objects or when you turn your camera quickly. Blur that feels excessive beyond normal motion blur suggests TAA is set too high or interacting poorly with your scene.

Adjust TAA Parameters

Reduce TAA strength in your shader options. This is the most common fix—lower values eliminate ghosting by being less aggressive about temporal smoothing. If the option exists, look for a "TAA Feedback" or "Blend Factor" slider and reduce it.

Check Frame Rate Consistency

TAA relies on consistent frame rates to work smoothly. If your FPS fluctuates wildly, temporal artifacts become more noticeable. Enable VSync or use a frame rate limiter to lock your frame rate at a stable value (60 FPS or your monitor's refresh rate).

Reset to Defaults

If problems persist, reset shader settings to default and adjust only TAA strength gradually. Some shader configurations have conflicting options that cause artifacts when combined.
