Compare Vanilla vs. Shader Visuals
Toggle Shaders On and Off
Most shader loaders allow you to disable shaders temporarily without uninstalling. Use your shader mod's toggle key or access the shader selection menu and choose "None" or "Off." This lets you see vanilla Minecraft directly.
Observe Key Differences
With TAA Project Shaders enabled, you'll notice:
- Smoother edges: Block outlines and thin structures appear less jagged
- Improved lighting: Shadows and ambient light feel more natural and less flat
- Cleaner appearance: Overall image feels less pixelated without dramatic color or lighting changes
- Maintained vanilla aesthetic: Colors and block textures remain faithful to original Minecraft
Test in Different Conditions
Compare visuals at different times of day, in caves, and in bright sunlight. The shader's benefits are most visible when looking at distant terrain or fine details like leaves and fences. Toggle back and forth to appreciate the smoothing effect without feeling overwhelmed by changes.
The goal is a subtle enhancement—if the difference feels jarring, your TAA settings may be too aggressive.
