Convert Items into Trim Colors Using the Stonecutter

Prepare Your Color Materials

While many items work directly as trim colors in the Smithing Table, the Stonecutter offers an alternative way to process certain materials into usable trim colors.

1. Open a Stonecutter

2. Place your material item in the input slot (Dragon's Breath, Bone, Blaze Rod, Phantom Membrane, Slime Ball, or food items)

3. Select the trim color output option

4. Collect your processed color material

When to Use the Stonecutter

The Stonecutter is useful when you want to convert raw mob drops or food items into a standardized trim color format. This can be helpful for organizing your inventory or preparing bulk quantities of colors before decorating multiple armor pieces. Both the Smithing Table and Stonecutter methods work—choose whichever fits your workflow better.
