Understanding How Advancements Sync Across Your Server

How Synchronization Works

When any player on your server unlocks an advancement, it automatically becomes unlocked for every other connected player. This happens in real-time—you don't need to restart the server or manually trigger anything. The mod handles the synchronization behind the scenes.

What Gets Synced

All standard Minecraft advancements sync across players, including:

  • Exploration advancements (visiting biomes, finding structures)
  • Combat achievements (defeating mobs and bosses)
  • Crafting and smelting milestones
  • Breeding and farming accomplishments
  • Custom advancements added by other mods

Viewing Shared Progress

Open your advancements tab (default: L key) to see which advancements your server has collectively unlocked. Completed advancements appear highlighted. This gives you a quick overview of what your group has achieved together.

Important Notes

Synchronization only works on servers running the mod. Single-player worlds are unaffected. If you're playing on a server without the mod installed, advancements will behave normally and won't sync with other players.
