Swift Survival Essentials Plugin FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I set up my first home?
Stand at the location you want to save and type /sethome base (or any name you choose). You can now return to that spot anytime with /home base. You can create multiple homes with different names up to the server's limit.
What happens if I move during a teleport countdown?
The teleport will cancel immediately if you move or take damage while the countdown is running. You'll need to start the teleport command again, so stay still and listen for the audio cue to complete.
Can I teleport to a player who hasn't accepted my request yet?
No—you must wait for them to accept with /tpaccept, deny with /tpadeny, or add them to your trusted list with /tpatrust so future requests accept automatically.
How do I get back to where I died?
Type /back to return to your last death location or the spot you last teleported from. This only works once per death, so use it quickly if you need to recover your items.
Is there a way to chop down just one block of wood without felling the whole tree?
Yes—hold sneak (default Shift) while chopping with an axe to break individual wood blocks normally. Only swinging without sneaking triggers the one-hit tree felling.
How many extra storage chests can I access?
Type /inv list to see all available vaults, or /inv [number] to open a specific one. Each vault is a personal double chest that only you can access.
What makes a location 'safe' for random teleports?
The /rtp command finds spots in the wilderness where you won't spawn inside blocks or take immediate damage. It still respects the server's configured world border and protected zones.
Can I toggle flight or god mode for other players?
Yes—if you have permission, type /fly , /god , /nofall , or /nohunger to toggle these modes for them. Without a player name, the command toggles the mode for yourself.
Do I need to be online for someone to teleport to me?
Yes—teleport requests only work between players currently on the server. If a player logs off, pending requests to them will fail.
Will this mod cause lag on my server?
Swift Survival Essentials is designed to run efficiently without heavy resource use. Virtual storage chests don't place physical blocks, and teleports use standard mechanics, so performance impact is minimal on most servers.
