How to Set Up and Use Voice Chat with SVC on Lunar Client
Getting Voice Chat Running
Once SVC is installed alongside Lunar Client, launch the game and join any world or server. You should see a small microphone icon appear on your HUD, usually in a corner of the screen. This icon is your main control point. If you don't see it, open your key bindings and look for the voice chat category — there will be a key to open the voice chat settings menu. Press it to bring up the configuration screen.
Configuring Your Microphone and Audio
In the voice chat settings menu, you'll find sliders for microphone volume and voice output volume. Adjust the microphone slider while watching the input meter — it should move when you speak but not stay pinned at maximum, which causes clipping. Set your output volume so other players are audible without drowning out game sounds. Choose your input device from the dropdown if you have multiple microphones or headsets connected. The mod uses proximity chat by default, meaning players hear you based on in-game distance, so you don't need to press anything to talk unless push-to-talk is enabled.
Testing and Troubleshooting
Join a server where other players also have Simple Voice Chat installed. Ask someone to confirm they can hear you. If they can't, double-check that your microphone isn't muted at the OS level and that the correct input device is selected in the mod's settings. If you hear others but they can't hear you, your input device is likely wrong or your mic volume is too low.
