How to Keep Vanished Players Hidden Across Reloads and Restarts
Persistent Vanish State
One of SuperVanish's strengths is that vanish state survives server restarts and plugin reloads. A vanished admin who logs out and back in remains invisible without needing to re-run the command. This is essential for staff who want to stay hidden during maintenance windows or long investigations.
What Persists Automatically
By default, SuperVanish remembers which players were vanished. When the server restarts or the plugin reloads, those players are restored to their vanished state on next join. Their tab entry stays hidden, their body stays invisible, and their join message is suppressed according to your config.
Verifying After a Restart
1. Vanish with /vanish and confirm you are hidden.
2. Restart the server or reload the plugin.
3. Rejoin the server.
4. Check the tab list — your name should still be absent.
5. Ask a non-staff player (or use an alt without sv.see) to confirm they cannot see you.
Configuration Considerations
If persistence is not behaving as expected, review the config for any option that controls saving vanish state between sessions. Some servers prefer to clear vanish on restart for security; others want it retained. Choose the setting that matches your staff policy, and remember that item pickup and damage behavior for vanished players are also configurable and will apply after a restart.
