How to Show Effect Timers and Amplifier Levels in the Effect Display

The default Stylish Effects widget already shows a timer and the current amplifier, but you can control how these are presented.

Enabling timer and amplifier

In the mod config, look for the widget options for the HUD and inventory. Make sure you're using the Stylish Effects widget mode rather than the vanilla mode, since the vanilla widget does not include a timer or amplifier readout. Toggle the timer and amplifier display options on if they're available as separate switches.

Reading the display

Once active, each effect icon shows a countdown for the remaining duration and a marker for its level. Higher amplifier levels are indicated next to the icon, so you can tell a Potion of Strength II from a Potion of Strength I at a glance without hovering.

Adjusting for clarity

If the timer text is hard to read, adjust the widget scale or position in the same config section. You can also move the whole effect display to a different screen corner so it doesn't overlap other HUD elements. Test with a short-duration effect to confirm the timer counts down correctly.
