How to See Your Active Effects Inside Containers Like Chests and Furnaces

One of Stylish Effects' key features is showing your active effects while any container screen is open, not just your own inventory.

Confirming the container widget is enabled

Open the mod config and find the inventory/container widget section. Make sure the widget mode is not set to "none" — if it is, effects will be hidden in containers. Select either the Stylish Effects widget or the vanilla-style widget.

Opening a container

Walk up to a chest, furnace, crafting table, or any other container and open it. Your active effects should appear in the same compact layout used in your inventory, positioned so they don't overlap the container's slots.

Handling many effects

Because the Stylish Effects widget is compact, it fits more effects before they start to overlap compared to the vanilla layout. If you have a large number of effects and they still crowd, reduce the widget scale in the config or reposition it. This is especially useful during boss fights or when stacking multiple potion effects before a raid.
