How to Stop Mobs and Players from Trampling Your Farmland
Understanding What the Mod Protects
Stronger Farmland Mod changes the trampling behavior for farmland that is currently hydrated (has water within range). When farmland is wet, players, horses, dogs, and Iron Golems can walk across it without turning it back into dirt. Dry farmland is not covered, so the protection only kicks in once hydration is active.
Practical Setup Steps
1. Place your water source first so the farmland hydrates before anything walks on it. A single water block hydrates farmland in a radius around it, so plan your rows accordingly.
2. Till the soil with a hoe.
3. Bring your animals, pets, and Iron Golems through the field as normal. They will no longer revert the blocks.
4. If you keep a dry decorative path of farmland, remember it is still vulnerable — either hydrate it or fence it off.
Why Hydration Matters
Because protection is tied to the wet state, a farm that loses its water source (broken irrigation, drained channel, blocked flow) becomes trampleable again. Check your water supply after explosions, piston use, or mob griefing events to keep the field safe.
