Set Up Boss Tracking for Custom Mobs

Access the Boss Manager

To track damage on mobs beyond the mod's defaults, you need Creative mode and operator permissions. Enter Creative mode and open the boss manager screen—this is where you configure which entities the mod monitors during combat.

Add a New Boss Entity

1. Open the boss manager interface

2. Select the entity type you want to track (for example, a custom boss mob or rare variant)

3. Confirm the addition to the tracking list

Once added, the mod will automatically activate its damage meter whenever a player engages that mob. The overlay will display below the entity's health bar just as it does for pre-configured bosses.

Verify Your Setup

After adding a mob, approach it in Survival mode to test. The damage overlay should appear and begin recording hits. If it doesn't activate, double-check that the entity name matches exactly in the boss manager configuration.

You can add multiple custom mobs this way, making the mod flexible for modpacks or servers with unique boss encounters.
