Strike Stream Gauge Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the damage meter?
The damage meter activates automatically when you approach any boss mob that the mod is tracking. If you don't see it appear, make sure the boss you're fighting is on the tracked mobs list in the boss manager screen.
Where do I find my combat report after killing a boss?
The combat report prints automatically into chat once the boss is defeated, showing total damage dealt, your rank, and how you compare to other players in the fight. You can scroll back through chat to review it anytime.
Can I move the damage meter to a different spot on my screen?
Yes, press O to open the HUD edit screen, then click and drag the damage overlay to wherever you want it positioned. Your new position saves automatically.
How do I add a custom mob to the boss tracking list?
Open the boss manager screen while in Creative mode with operator permissions, then select the mob entity you want to track. The mod will add it to the list and start recording damage when players fight it.
What do the rank letters mean and how are they calculated?
Ranks range from S (best) down to F (worst) and are based on your combat performance during the fight, including total damage dealt, hit accuracy, and damage consistency. The exact calculation depends on how you compare to other participants in that specific fight.
Do I get rewards for dealing damage in boss fights?
Yes, all participants receive at least one Contribution Chest, and the top ten damage dealers earn bonus chests based on their placement—first place gets six extra chests, second gets five, and so on down to tenth place with two extra chests.
Does this mod work in multiplayer, or just single player?
The mod works in both single player and multiplayer worlds. In multiplayer, all players see the shared combat report in chat after each boss fight, so everyone can compare damage numbers fairly.
What happens to the damage meter after the boss dies?
The damage meter resets cleanly after the fight ends, clearing all recorded numbers so the next boss fight starts fresh. Your combat report remains in chat for reference.
Can I see the highest single hit I dealt during a fight?
Yes, the live damage meter displays your highest single hit along with total damage dealt, hit count, and combat time. This information also appears in the chat report after the fight.
What if the damage meter isn't showing up when I fight a boss?
Make sure the boss mob is added to the tracked mobs list in the boss manager screen—if it's not recognized, the mod won't record damage. Also check that you're close enough to the boss for the mod to detect the fight.
