Synchronize Emotes on a Multiplayer Server

Server-Side Setup

For all players to see the same emotes consistently, your server needs Streamotes synchronization enabled:

  • Fabric servers: Install the corresponding Streamotes server mod
  • Paper servers: Use the Streamotes plugin

Ask your server administrator to install the appropriate version.

Client-Side Configuration

Once the server has Streamotes installed, your client mod will automatically sync with it. You don't need to manually configure anything—the mod detects the server's emote configuration and applies it.

Verify Synchronization

1. Join the server

2. Open chat and check that emotes from the server's configured channels appear in your autocomplete

3. Send a message with an emote to confirm other players see it correctly

Consistent Experience

With server synchronization, all players on the server will see identical emotes in the same way, preventing confusion or missing emotes. This is especially important for community servers where consistent communication matters.
