Structures generate in newly created chunks, so you'll need to explore areas you haven't visited before to find towers, dungeons, and igloos. If you want structures in your current base area, you'll need to travel to unexplored terrain.

Bring weapons and armor to handle the mobs spawning inside, along with blocks for building escape routes and torches to prevent mob spawning. A bow is useful for dealing with enemies from distance, and food to heal between fights.

Dungeons contain moderately useful loot appropriate to vanilla Minecraft progression—nothing overpowered, but worth the effort to clear them. The exact rewards depend on the dungeon type you're exploring.

Villagers found in dungeon mini-villages function like normal villagers and can be traded with, making these structures valuable for setting up trading outposts without building from scratch.

Always carry blocks to build escape routes as you climb, and mark your path with torches so you can find your way back down if needed. Avoid sprinting near edges and watch for mob knockback pushing you off platforms.

Snowy igloos are themed for cold biomes and contain loot and mobs appropriate to that environment, but the core looting mechanics are the same as other dungeons.

The mod adds moderately detailed structures that spawn frequently, so performance impact depends on your hardware and other mods, but structures are designed to be vanilla-friendly and shouldn't cause major issues on most systems.

Check your mod's configuration files—most structure mods allow you to toggle individual structure types on or off to customize your world generation.
