Stonecutting Upgrade Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the stonecutter with this mod?
Open a stonecutter block normally—the mod automatically expands the interface for you. No special activation or command is needed; the upgraded menu appears right away.
Why can't I see all the recipes I'm looking for?
Scroll through the recipe list using your mouse wheel or the scroll bar on the right side of the menu. The mod displays up to 21 recipes at once, but you may still need to scroll if a block has more recipe options available.
What does pressing Space do in the stonecutter?
Pressing Space refills one item from your inventory into the input slot, letting you quickly continue cutting without manually clicking. Hold Shift and press Space to load an entire stack instead.
Does my recipe stay selected when I add more materials?
Yes—the mod remembers your last chosen recipe and keeps it active when you place new blocks into the input slot, so you don't have to reselect it every time.
Can I use this mod on a multiplayer server?
Yes, the mod works entirely on the client side, so you can join any server without needing the mod installed there. Other players won't be affected by your mod.
Does this mod work with other mods that add custom stone blocks?
The mod works with any block that uses the stonecutter, including custom stone blocks from other mods, as long as those mods follow standard Minecraft stonecutter recipes.
What if the Space key conflicts with another mod's keybind?
Check your mod's keybind settings to see if you can reassign the refill shortcut to a different key that doesn't conflict with other mods you're using.
Does this mod affect game performance or lag?
No—the mod only changes the stonecutter interface and runs on the client side, so it has no impact on server performance or your overall game speed.
Can I use this mod in creative mode?
Yes, the expanded stonecutter interface and keyboard shortcuts work in both survival and creative mode.
What happens if I close the stonecutter and reopen it later?
Your last selected recipe is remembered and will be active the next time you open a stonecutter, as long as you don't switch to a different block type in between.
