Using the Mod With Bookshelves and Enchantment Levels

Setup Still Matters

The mod changes lapis handling only. Everything about bookshelves, enchantment power, and the levels offered works exactly as in vanilla. To get high-tier enchantments, you still need the correct bookshelf arrangement around the table.

Steps

1. Build your bookshelf ring around the Enchanting Table to raise the available enchantment levels.

2. Add Lapis Lazuli to the table slot — it will stay there thanks to the mod.

3. Place an item in the item slot and review the offered enchantments and their level costs.

4. Select the enchantment you want and confirm. Lapis is deducted from the stored stack.

5. Insert the next item and repeat; the bookshelf power and stored lapis remain in place.

Combining With Other Enchanting Habits

• If you reroll enchantments by swapping items, the persistent lapis means fewer clicks per attempt.
• Keep your bookshelves intact while enchanting; breaking them lowers the offered levels.
• The mod does not alter anvil behavior or enchantment merging — it only affects the table's lapis slot.

Set up your shelves once, stock the lapis, and enchant freely.
