Managing Your Lapis Supply for Long Enchanting Sessions

Plan Your Stock

Since lapis now persists in the table, it is easy to forget how much you have left. Before a big enchanting session, gather more Lapis Lazuli than you think you need and keep a spare stack in your inventory. Each enchantment still consumes lapis as normal — the mod only changes whether the slot is emptied, not the cost.

Keep the Slot Topped Up

1. Check the lapis slot before you start. If it is low, add more from your inventory.

2. Enchant your items one after another; the stored lapis drains gradually.

3. When the slot runs dry, the table will not let you enchant until you refill it.

4. Top up in bulk rather than one gem at a time to keep the flow going.

Storage Tips

  • Keep a dedicated lapis chest near your enchanting area so refills are quick.
  • If you mine lapis while enchanting, drop surplus into the table slot so it is ready for next time.
  • Remember the stored lapis stays with the table, so if you share a base, agree on who owns that supply.

A little planning keeps your enchanting sessions uninterrupted.
