How to Stop the Narrator from Starting Automatically in Stfu Mod
Disabling the Narrator on Startup
The narrator can be one of the most jarring
things to hear when you launch Minecraft, especially if you never turned it on. Stfu Mod disables the narrator on startup by default, but if it is still activating for you, there are a few
things to check.
First, open the mod's configuration screen. Depending on your mod loader, this is usually accessible from the Mods list in the main menu or through a config button. Look for the narrator-related option and make sure it is set to disabled. This prevents the narrator from announcing menus and screens when the game first loads.
Rebinding the Narrator Key
Even with startup narration off, you may accidentally trigger the narrator by pressing its hotkey. Stfu Mod allows you to rebind the narrator key so it is not in your way.
Go to Options, then Controls, then Key Binds. Search for the narrator entry and assign it to a key you will not press by accident, or clear it entirely if the mod allows unbinding. After changing it, back out of the menu so the change saves. Test by pressing your old narrator key to confirm nothing happens, then press your new key (if you set one) to verify it still toggles when you actually want it.
If narration still appears, double-check that no other accessibility mod is re-enabling it, since two mods fighting over the same setting can cause it to flip back on.
