How to Hide Advancement Broadcasts and Command Block Output with Stfu Mod

Silencing Advancement Popups

Advancement broadcasts can flood your chat, especially on servers where many players are progressing at once. Stfu Mod adds options to hide these broadcasts so your chat stays readable.

Open the mod's config screen from the Mods menu. Find the chat-related section and look for the advancement broadcast toggle. Turn it off to stop advancement messages from appearing in chat. Note that this hides the broadcast to you; it does not stop the advancement from being earned or announced to other players unless the server itself is configured otherwise.

Hiding Command Block Output

Command block output spam is another common annoyance, particularly on creative or adventure maps that use many command blocks. In the same chat section of the config, locate the command block output option and disable it. This prevents the constant "[CommandBlock]" style messages from filling your chat window.

Combining with Chat Compacting

Stfu Mod also offers chat spam compacting, which merges repeated identical messages into a single line with a counter. Enable this alongside the broadcast and command block toggles for the cleanest possible chat. If you later want to see a specific type of message again, simply return to the config and re-enable that individual toggle without affecting the others. Changes usually apply immediately, but restarting the game ensures everything takes effect cleanly.
