Do I need to restart my world to see the new stems?
No, the resource pack applies immediately to newly grown crops. Existing stems may not update until the crop advances to its next growth stage, so replanting or waiting for growth ticks will show the new visuals.
Can I use both green and orange pumpkin stem versions at the same time?
No, you can only load one version of the pack at a time. Choose either the green or orange variant in your resource pack list, and only that version's pumpkin stems will appear.
Why do my pumpkin and melon stems look the same?
Check that Stemtacular is actually enabled and ranked above any conflicting resource packs in your load order. If another pack is loaded after it, that pack's stem textures will override Stemtacular's changes.
Do the stems actually connect to the fruit or just look like they do?
They're a visual change only—the stems are still separate blocks from the pumpkin or melon, but the textures and positioning are adjusted so they appear seamlessly connected to the top of the fruit.
Will this pack work with mods that add new crops?
No, Stemtacular only reskins vanilla pumpkin and melon stems. Crops added by other mods won't be affected unless those mods are specifically supported.
Can I see what growth stage a crop is at just by looking at the stem?
Yes, each growth stage has distinct visual changes to the stem appearance, so you can monitor progress without breaking the crop or checking with a tool.
Does this pack change anything besides stems and fruit tops?
The pack tweaks the top texture of pumpkin blocks to match the new stem colors, but doesn't alter other blocks or items in your world.
Will this pack cause lag or performance issues?
No, resource packs are lightweight and only change textures. Stemtacular has no impact on server or client performance.
Do I need to choose green or orange before installing, or can I switch later?
You can switch between versions anytime by changing which variant is active in your resource pack list—no reinstall needed.
