How to Stop the Night From Being Skipped With Status Mod
Enabling the No Sleep Status
Open your status menu with the U key and turn on the No Sleep option. This is the part of your status that tells the game you don't want the night to be skipped when other players get into bed.
What Other Players See
Once No Sleep is active, your status icon appears next to your name in the tab list, so anyone with the mod can see at a glance that you're blocking the skip. More importantly, when another player lies down in a bed, they'll receive an on-screen message telling them that someone doesn't want the night to pass. That message is shown even to players who don't have the mod installed, so vanilla clients on the server are still informed — they just won't see the tab list icon.
Things to Keep in Mind
- The block only applies while your No Sleep status is enabled. Turn it off when you're ready to let nights pass normally.
- Because the mod runs server-side, the server enforces this — you don't need everyone to have the mod for the message to appear.
- If you're the one lying in bed and the night won't skip, check whether another player (or you) has No Sleep active.
- Use this when you're building, mining, or AFK and don't want to lose the dark hours.
